Last Thursday Bobby Gillespie played a rock-action set with Louise X at Electrogogo. Louise X usually djs at the Primal Scream gigs and many a time I've gone running up to her asking what tracks are. Bobby dug out some mad 7's from the early 70's. Real raw-type, hidden classics that never got as well known as The Stooges or MC5 - but give it time.

I wasn't sure if people would go for it on the floor but everything they played had this BEAT that you just couldn't stand still to and floor action was acheived in a marvellous fashion. Bobby said he flew back from Japan especially to play Electrogogo! He was out there playing a gig with Iggy & The Stooges which he tells me was awesome with just tracks played from the first two Stooges albums.

Bobby hung out till the end and we found ourselves dancing with Alex Silverfish and The Real Heat to Primal Scream's "Some Velvet Morning". Bobby said Electrogogo was the best club he'd been to in years. And he was right of course!

Another friend said we had the maddest and best mix of people. Everyone from gangsters, countesses, electroheadz, rock kids, straight and gay, black and white, high life and low life, jailbait, a grandad, two famous porn stars, trannies, pop-stars, fashion mafia, casuals and a bricklayer.
