Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo Green, aka the platinum-selling duo Gnarls Barkley, are making a rather usual sacrifice for their love of the beautiful game.

The duo are rescheduling their Hammersmith Apollo show, which was to be held on Wednesday 5th July. It will now take place a day later; on Thursday 6 July. The new date is to allow England fans to watch their team in the semi-finals of the World Cup, which will be held on the Wednesday. This is a gesture of some confidence by the chart-toppers, especially considering the fact that neither of them is actually English. Nevertheless, the American act have said in a recent press release that they look forward to, throwing one hell of a victory party if England get through the semi-final at Munich.
Gnarls Barkleys Crazy was not only at the top of the UK charts for eight weeks, it was also the first single to reach that position based solely on download sales. Their new single, Smiley Faces, from their album St. Elsewhere, is released on Monday 17th July.
