| One of Bestival 2011's undisputed highlights - for any of ye lot lucky enough to catch 'em - was hip-hop legends and rap all-stars Public Enemy. But even by the crazy standards of resident larger-than-life loon Flavor Flav, the news that PE main man Chuck D features on the new album by Meat Loaf(!) took us by surprise! The Public Enemy lynchpin contributes to a cover of Tom Cochrane’s 1991 song ‘Mad Mad World’ to the Bat out of Hell's gut-busting singer's new LP, titled, appropriately enough, Hell in a Handbasket(!) “Chuck D is the rapper’s rapper,” says Meat Loaf of his unlikely collaborator. “He is the original, and every rapper that has come after him wants to be like him. For us to have him on this record is a major coup and I am so impressed with what he wrote!” |
