That's right Bestivalites! Party time is on the horizon so set your sails for the Isle of Wight and get ready for the mammoth blow-out to end all mammoth blow-outs, Bestival 2012! Over the next two weeks festival curator Rob da Bank will announce one act a day, leading up to the big announcement in mid-Feb. And the first act is...drum roll please...rave legends Orbital! Yes, the originators of 'Chime', 'Belfast', 'Satan' and a zillion other lump-in-the-throat, hands-in-the-air festi anthems will be bringing their unmissable live show to Bestival 2012, as headliners of our Big Top on Sunday night. As any of you lot lucky enough to catch the pair at Glastonbury over the years can attest, this will be something truly special! As for this year's fancy dress theme, well, "Unleash the party beast" people because it's wildlife! "From the hinterlands of your imagination, covering Robin Hill with some properly wild things, from fantastic fauna, kings of the jungle and even organisms aplenty to just the outrageously wild," claims our justifiably excited lord of the dance, Mnsr Robbos dos Bankos. There's so much more of course...Bestival 2012 promises more camping space than previous years, an opportunity to apply for free tickets in exchange for charity work, a vintage cinema on site, a Young British Foodies contest and loads else!
