| This week's boundary-pushing Besti-mix comes courtesy of the mysterious Mr Mafro. A crate digger par excellence who can be found plying his trade (playing records that is) at The Lonely Hertz Club (see what they did there?) and whose selection for us is, well, off the clock! Encompassing everything from fabulously bearded (and quite often naked) beat poet Allen Ginsberg to Detroit techno legends Model 500 (a certain Mr Aktins in disguise) to hardcore pioneers 2 Bad Mice and trip-hop forefathers Smith & Mighty. And with the likes of Radiohead, Jamie xx, Chic, Basic Channel, Lionel Richie and Kraftwerk making appearances, it's kind of like the greatest house party ever, on tape.
