Winner of the 2012 Wakestock DJ Comp is revealed!

We had an incredible response to our brand new DJ Comp, with over 50 entrants who racked up over 21,000 listens – choosing with winner was a really tough task. Luckily we had superstar DJ and long time friend of Wakestock, Goldierocks aka Sam Hall on hand to pick the winner. Sam has stage dived, rocked out and propelled herself off various stages around the globe having DJ’d everywhere from Ibiza Rocks to Glastonbury’s East Dance Stage, inside the igloo disco of Snowbombing in Austria to the palm fringed shores of Lake of Stars Festival in Malawi Southern Africa; Australia’s Gold Coast to cowboy country, playing SXSW in Texas. Soviet bunker clubs in Kazkahstan to yachts in Monaco, The MTV European Music Video Awards and Shanghai Fashion Week, and not forgetting her amazing performances at Wakestock! Sam is well qualified to be judging the our competition and has chosen Cardiff based DJ F-Block as winner of the coveted slot opening the South Stage at Wakestock this year. F-Block is intent on bringing the fun back into music. With a whole range of genres at his fingertips, expect to hear everything from Roy Ayers to some face-smashing junglism.
