1. Data Protection
TrusttheDJ.com Limited (t/a TrusttheDJ) is registered under the Data Protection Act and is committed to protecting your right to privacy. We will only use the
information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). It is our policy to respect the privacy of private communication.
The information you provide to us will be held on our UK based computers. We collect information from our members in order to help us to continually improve the
service we offer and so that we can enter into more beneficial commercial arrangements. The collection of such information also allows us to serve more relevant
information to you that accurately caters for your personal and musical interests. You can read TTDJ's security policy in our full
Terms and Conditions of which this policy forms part.
2. Member Permissions
TTDJ does not provide or release names or e-mail addresses of members to any third party without the member's explicit permission. We operate opt-in email
newsletters and alerts and we will also ask you to indicate whether you want your details to be included in any lists that are made available to carefully selected
third parties for advertising or sponsorship purposes. You can opt-out or unsubscribe from the above lists at any time by following the instructions on any
communication or by amending the options in your profile on the Sites. Unless stated otherwise, TTDJ does not track or report on your online activity when you are
not on Sites or, unless expressly stated, use persistent cookies that "remember" you and provide automatic access to your account.
3. Information Uses
TTDJ may use member data to direct editorial content to members who are most likely to be interested in information about specific subject matter; determine any
advertisements or sponsorship messages to be seen by the member; measure site activity using cookie technology to help TTDJ determine which features and services are
important to which users of the Sites so that we may know where to invest our ongoing development and creative efforts (cookies are also used during sessions to allow
TTDJ to "remember" certain information such as the contents of your shopping basket); advise members of new articles and features or to conduct market research for
TTDJ or research on behalf of clearly identified third parties.
4. Advertising and Sponsorship
We and our commercial partners may use your personal data in order to serve targeted advertising or sponsored content to you based on your profile and your personal
and musical interests. We may send you information, special offers and advertising by email, through SMS, within our regular newsletters or through one-off promotional
offers.
We may also sell, trade or licence your personal information to trustworthy third parties (who may be located outside the European Economic Area) in order to enable
them to offer goods and services that they think will interest you. By submitting your personal details, you consent to this transfer. We may receive information
about you from reliable third parties and add it to our database. We shall ensure that such third parties operate a similar ethical policy to us in relation to your
privacy.
5. Competitions
When you enter a competition or other promotional feature, we will take your name and e-mail address so that we can notify you if you have won. We will require
your address to deliver any prizes you win. We will only share this information with third parties only to the extent necessary to administer the contest and deliver
any prizes. If you win a competition, or other promotional feature, then we retain the right to post your name and town on the Sites. You further agree to be bound
by any separate terms and conditions relating to specific competitions on the Sites.
6. Mobile Alert and Email Services
If you subscribe to any TTDJ mobile alert services by completing the appropriate registration form we may send emails and information to your mobile using SMS
messages. If you do not want to receive the services, then please do not complete the relevant registration forms. We may be paid for providing some of these services
to you.
The SMS messages may give you an option to request further information via a phone line or through another SMS message. If you make such a request, the telephone
line option will be charged at the relevant premium rate, depending on country of call and mobile operator. The SMS charge will be as standard from your operator.
THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO MAKE SUCH A REQUEST. The service includes: News flashes, competitions, ringtones, special offers and commercial messages.
To unsubscibe from any mobile, alert and email services, simply click on the relevant link in your welcome email or the relevant link at the bottom of the relevant
emails. For legal reasons, we will keep details of your account for 12 months after you unsubscribe. This is in case you have cause to complain to us for any
infringement of your rights or under our legal obligations with regard to copyright issues within the music industry with regard to any ringtones you may have
downloaded from us.
7. Aggregated Data
We may disclose anonymised data (which will obviously involve us processing your data to anonymise it) to trustworthy third parties. Although you will not be
identifiable by such data, it is possible that such data may be processed by such third parties so that you will then become identifiable.
8. Business Transfers
As we develop our business, it is possible that we may buy or sell assets. In the event that TrsuttheDJ.com limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired,
then your personal information will be one of the transferred assets.
9. General
As a necessary part of completing a transaction, TTDJ will need to use some of your personal information. Accordingly, TTDJ will also need to use this information
to process any transactions you undertake with TTDJ or through the Sites and for internal administration and analysis. If you do not wish to receive unsolicited
mailings from TTDJ please unsubscribe from the list by following the instructions on the email or on the Sites or inform us by writing to Data Administrator,
